Extra Information: 

  • Dungeon Defenders Eternity (DDE) was made after Monster Madness Online (MMO) with the same system
    • Trendy will host for everyone, to prevent hacking issue we have in the original Dungeon Defenders (DD1)
    • MMO code base is the improved/branched version of DD1 (with secure hosting and online functionality)
    • And we decide to make DD1 from MMO, so DDE is a branched version of MMO – branch-ception! @_@
    • Essentially, DDE is the MMO re-skin into DD1

Responsible for (this is not copy/paste from MMO, it’s just I practically do the same thing) : 

  • Ported over Dungeon Defenders I functionality to Dungeon Defenders Eternity
  • Implemented new game features
    • Some of them are new to DD1, e.g. DD1 does not have player’s ability system
    • Player ability functionality
    • Buff functionality
    • Player state
    • Enemy functionality, AI
    • Kismet support for level designers
    • Code support for artists
    • etc.
